Indians outfielder Kearns arrested for DUI

Cleveland Indians outfielder, Austin Kearns was arrested for DUI in Lexington, KY according to a report by Fox 8 Cleveland. A professional athlete getting arrested for DUI unfortunately isn’t all that uncommon these days, but this isn’t your everyday DUI story.
In typical Cleveland Indians fashion, the team didn’t even learn of the DUI that took place on February 12th until news of the arrest was published in the Jessamine Journal on monday. According to the Jessamine Journal, Kearns was stopped by a Lexington officer who noticed Kearns’ vehicle weaving.
Kearns reportedly told the officer that he had “a couple bourbon and cokes.” The report also indicates that Kearns refused the field sobriety tests and pleaded with the officer to “cut him a break.”
Kearns’ court date is scheduled for March 10th at 9:00 a.m.
Hey, at least he didn’t pull out the “Do you know who I am?” card for once or require several knees to the thighs to subdue him…
